Day 59: Woman’s Straw Hat Set (Part 2)

[Iris Haze Woman’s Straw Hat]
Quality: ★★★
A hat with sunshade and insect repellent powers.
Main Usage: Wearing
Effect: Field Gimmick [Sunlight] [Poisonous Insects] resistance (Medium)
Consumption: 250/250

The result was neither good nor bad. This is probably because it doesn’t come with any particular Miracle Creation.

Due to the two gimmick resistances, a small Miracle Creation appears on the product at first glance. However, as I prototyped with a simple one earlier, craft production, unlike sewing, can be easily enhanced.

Compared to sewing’s ability to increase stats and add attribute resistance, the ability of crafting and weaving for field applications is less versatile. This is what I call management’s consideration when adjusting the balance.

I drank the soda as an experiment, so if the conditions were met, the Miracle would have been sure to follow. The fact that it didn’t mean that I couldn’t reach Miracle with this much effort.

Providing miracles for anything other than sewing seems unrealistic. Too bad.

And even though I expected it, the quality and consumption value were still lower than my usual soda production, which was a bit of a reality check. Oh well, that’s what I’m good at.

The cause is apparent: Kimchi-san’s fabric materials are of exceptional quality.

Soda isn’t an item that improves quality or effects, but it brings out the best of the original material, regardless of the ability of the person who processes it.

If the original material is of a certain quality, the quality of the processed item will inevitably be of a certain level.

Once again, Kimchi-san is awesome.

Without Kimchi-san, I wouldn’t have been able to succeed with my skills. Does that mean that Kimchi-san now holds the lifeline of my kimakura life? I hope Kimchi-san doesn’t retire or something.

Nevertheless, the design is satisfactory.

The five pieces of hanging veils and decorative cords swayed in the wind. The mysterious atmosphere peculiar to Japanese-style clothing is perfect.

You might think, “If there is such an obtrusive cloth, won’t it be difficult to move and block my view? However, the game compensates for this.

Now then, let’s make a kimono to go with this Ichimegasa.

First, let’s start with the fabric selection.

For the main surface fabric, we will use a cotton, blue-grey [Air Cloth =≡Σ((( っ゜ω゜)っ]. It is a wind attribute cloth.

I chose navy blue [Tree Cotton] for the lining. This is also for the collar, and since I cut a slit in the sleeve part up to the elbow this time, it also allows a glimpse of the sleeve from that point.

Therefore, the cuffs were also drastically opened.

The sleeves of today’s ordinary kimonos are usually wide in shape, but the cuffs are small, aren’t they? This is the Kimakura design recipe, but I modified it to resemble the sleeves of a juunihitoe (twelve-layered ceremonial kimono).

Because the Ichimegasa is so fluttery, I also wanted the kimono to have a lively design.

The hem also has a bold slit to the edge of the obi.

What a shame! Just kidding, but don’t worry. As expected, you can wear it.

Prepare [Shorts] using tree cottons of the same colour to wear underneath.

Ocher thread is embroidered around the middle sleeves and the hem of the trousers, and [Arabesque Design・Line (Small)] is embroidered on the back of the trousers.

The trousers are also embroidered with [Bellflower Design (Small)] on the left and right sides, above the arabesque line. The colour is the same ochre as the braid, giving a sense of unity.

The inside and lining fabrics are ready. The next step is to decorate the outer fabric.

Here comes another skill that Kamikiri-sama taught me the other day. It’s [Ceramic Painting]!

It is a craftsman’s skill, typically used mainly for pottery or paper crafts, but it can also be applied to other materials if desired.

The colouring special effects won’t be available when used on materials outside of the crafting scope. The weavers can learn the [Textile Printing] skill for fabrics, which can reflect the dyes’ effects.

However, there are some attractive advantages to ceramics painting aside from this.

While textile printing is a technique that can only be applied to flat fabrics, ceramic painting can be used on fabrics with complex or three-dimensional shapes. In other words, patterns can be applied to fabrics that are still in the process of being sewn.

This ability should come in handy in the kimono business, where large patterns and designs, often placed in a particular way, are very important.

Therefore, let’s use the large and colourful version of the iris design used in the previous ichimegasa, and apply the painting to this kimono-like fabric that is just about to be made.

The patterns are mainly placed on the sleeves, from the knees to the hem.

The patterns used so far have all been monochrome with clear lines, but this time they are full-colour patterns with an ink-painting vibe. The gradation of blue and purple is very cute.

However, since this is a men’s item, it may appear too colourful if reproduced as is. Therefore, I used the opacity function to reduce the saturation.

The same white haze pattern is also layered through.

This is the final touch of the ceramic painting.

I removed [Royal Ink (Gold)], which I made myself by mixing [Ocher Dye] with [Royal Moss Scale].

I dipped my paintbrush into the paint and dabbed gold droplets onto the kimono’s pattern.

Mmm, it looks so good. It would be nice to add a touch of masculinity or a dignified look.

[UMI]
The new field strategy is late this time
I’m not one to urge people, but I heard that there are new materials that can be used for blacksmithing, so I hope they’ll be made available soon

[Major Sergeant Ororo]
There are too many gimmicks, and it’s frustrating
This type of stuff, including Apolleno, is boring and unexciting
I’d like to see them release a field that can be pushed with simpler firepower

[Kubo]
Six special slots aren’t enough~~~~
If more gimmicks are going to be added, then give us more slots
Even an ability-limited slot would be nice

[Kiina]
>>UMI
I heard that Aurora Stone can be found in the deep, so it’s probably too far away to be distributed to the general public
My production clan is affiliated with a prominent expedition clan, so I’ve already been in contact with the new material ^^

[Piano Jam]
>>Kiina
Nice carry. Congrats

[Drop Birth Control Supremacy]
Frenzy, Vigour, Nullification, and Super Absorption
You can go all the way with this; you don’t have to worry about the equipment

[Letima]
I’m not sure if I’ll be impressed with a list of skills used by such hardcore addicts…

[Narutick]
In this map, Two Face is better than Nullification, right?

[Marin]
Two Face is getting buzz from being featured in Diary, but I’m not sure I’ll get it just for this…
They may be strong, but they don’t have a lot of places to put it to use yet
If that’s the case, then it would be more reasonable to take something like Domination

[Kubo]
>>Drop Birth Control Supremacy
Frenzy and Vigour are both skills that you have to have eventually
If you’re not a hunter and gatherer, that brain-dead strategy won’t work
