Day 43 login
It’s now a night after the day I learned the shocking truth. I logged in today as usual, but I was a bit distressed.
The game Kimakura Utopia is a little, or maybe a lot, different from what I had in mind.
If I continue to play the game I have in the past, which involves collecting materials and making clothes by myself, I will eventually hit a wall. Or perhaps I’m already hitting the wall.
If I were to continue my previous approach, I would join the Rendluszka Defence Team to participate in today’s event. But someone would sabotage me.
Yesterday, I was lucky enough to have Knights Without Borders guarding the field, but they said they change their patrols daily.
I have no means to protect myself.
So, what do I do? The first thing that comes to mind is….
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of this is the block feature. I thought, “Why not use this feature and remove all the players I don’t like or consider scary from my world?” But that isn’t recommended, according to Minashigo-san.
“There is no end to it after all. In short, what the world calls malicious players are normal players in kimakura. Because they are normal players, there are many of them. Of course, some people aren’t discouraged, but when that happens, it’s like a different game. It’s like there are no people at all. What is an online game, anyway?”
That’s certainly not much different from playing a single-player game.
The most enjoyable part of playing kimakura is the opportunity to trade items with other players for the ones I create. It would be boring to lose such an essential element.
“I don’t want to do business with a player who has attacked me!” I’m going to eliminate that line of thought. Maybe that’s the same as saying you don’t want to be nice to your game opponents in this world because it’s a wild thing.
After doing some light research on how to play Kimakura comfortably, it seems the safest bet is to belong to a player’s clan.
The details may vary from clan to clan. However, the simple answer is that you will be protected by players who excel in both attack and defence while you participate in the event.
I wouldn’t ask them to protect me for free, but in any case, I’ll pass on this one. I personally don’t want to be bothered by people, even in games.
The following solution would be to learn how to counteract the obstructive players.
This isn’t impossible. Naturally, I don’t intend to join in the fight against saboteurs myself. But if I can use some self-defence skills, I can earn a few points while keeping a watchful eye on my surroundings.
I’m not looking for a high ranking or anything of that magnitude, but that’s not what I’m looking for.
However, that’s not exactly how I want to play the game.
Perhaps if I tried it, I would find it enjoyable. However, my current mood isn’t thrilling, and I’m looking for something peaceful and relaxing that I can enjoy even after a hard day’s work.
This idea will be put on hold for the time being.
The next thing that comes to mind is to enjoy Kimakura without any of the event’s thrills.
In this case, I would say that I’ve decided to stop participating in this type of event.
That’s actually how I was before I participated in the defence event. Making clothes, selling them, shopping at the world market, interacting with NPCs who came as customers, and gathering materials in the town or the nearby fields….
Had I maintained this lifestyle, I might have been forever unaware of a fight going on outside. It was fun in its way.
However, if I continued to avoid dangerous places, the game’s progress would be slowed.
I came to the Sick Forest and Rendluszka to expand my world. I want to do more in this Kimakura world.
To have those possibilities closed off in no small measure is like a horse with a carrot dangling from the end of its nose. I’m not sure if I’ll be satisfied.
This is also on hold.
And there is one ultimate last resort. That is to quit playing Kimakura.
This is just a hypothetical. This conclusion will be reached eventually, at least if the two ideas put on hold are still unacceptable.
If anything, what Minashigo-san said was right, albeit dry.
Kimakura is a much different game than I expected from the game package.
But given that the management is okay with it and the Mess Rules have been adopted, I have no right to complain. Even if I did, I have no intention of saying so.
My personal voice is limited. The world is full of garbage, and it is more energy-efficient to let those things slide than to live with the thought that we must always deal with them.
That’s why I agree with Minashigo-san’s opinion that if you can accept it, you can enjoy it, and if you can’t agree, you should leave.
It may sound serious if I express it in words, but in reality, I do not take the situation too seriously.
This is a game, a pastime, a hobby, after all. When it becomes boring, you stop playing; when it doesn’t match your taste, you don’t force yourself to continue and find something else you can enjoy more.
Another game I was considering was “Kodomo-no-Kuni,” which I thought sounded like a fun title. Besides, rather than quitting kimakura altogether, I can log in during my free time.
I should try to find a way to have fun with Kimakura once again. Today, I will not join the defence team but rather observe the players in and around Rendluszka.
By doing this, I hope to get some insights into how they enjoy Kimakura and how I can enjoy it.
Today, I will take the leap of faith and deactivate the semi-active mode.
I noticed that while many lawless players were trying to get ahead by beating others, many players were peacefully working in a low-key manner while coping with the harsh environment.
One example is when two major clans clash, and people exploit each other’s preoccupation to exterminate any prey they don’t catch sneakily.
“The perfect countermeasure against interference! Stealth drink that makes you invisible for a certain amount of time, only 2,000 kima now!” Some pharmacists are doing business only possible in such a situation.
On the other hand, carpenters are repairing collapsed exterior walls without paying any attention to the commotion inside and outside the town.
I see.
If that is Kimakura, then this is also Kimakura. All the players here undoubtedly enjoy this unusual game world in their way.
Watching such an odd but lively scenery, I began to get this impression.
This is something I can accept. I can still play this game indefinitely.
Just as I was thinking this, I was approached by a voice.

You should quit kimakura now
[Panfesta]
Disappointed
I’m so disappointed in you guys
[Piano Jam]
Disappointed means you at least had some kind of expectation until now
Amazing
[Panfesta]
I trusted you, Kimakura users when you were such a dumbass
If there is a weirdo, expose them
If there is valuable information, post it
It’s useful, but if other people are aware of it, it will reduce my profits. But I also want to reduce the earnings of other people who know about it, so I’m going to expose it
That’s how we’ve been getting along, right?
[Kinoko]
Yeah
[Valletta]
That’s true
[Mosha]
(Waiting for the punchline…?)
[Panfesta]
Then why didn’t you guys tell me that your Boutique is a Kimakura national treasureeeee!!!!!!!
[hyuy @ looking for friend]
Yes, guilty
[Kuma-tan]
Don don guilty
[Valletta]
That’s out of line
[Ying*]
There are some things you can and can’t do in Kimakura, okay?
[Alaska]
Boutique-san is the one who can collect and provide a stable supply?
With that quality and excellent performance, she is a real living national treasure!
[Chon]
I’ve said that, didn’t I?
[((Bomu))]
Well, it was about time
It’s gotten popular enough that even here, there’s an immediate response that knows about it
[Kinako]
I went to check to see if it was true, and sure enough, everything was sold out
[Piano Jam]
Her shop regularly stops working
[ee]
Well, I haven’t sent any pickup to WM
Either way, it’s sold out lol
[Mosha]
I wish they had let her lie low until she got the skills she wanted…
[Panfesta]
Disappointed… I’m really disappointed…
You guys could have hidden it…
[hyuy @ looking for friend]
Just so you know, please refrain from making any pickup requests or similar actions, okay?
[Kuma-tan]
That’s
B-san sounds like a normie with a screw loose. If something bad happens to her, she won’t have a problem with it. I have a feeling she might disappear

> A normie with a screw loose
Philosophy?
[Mosha]
I want to demand a pickup
But I can’t do it because I’m afraid of the association
[Don’t Deny It]
Ah… I told you…
Even before the collection, I liked B’s work design, so I have mixed feelings that the performance-obsessed people have also taken notice…
[Memeko]
Even now, I shop as early as possible because I’m always worried about the people behind me, but I wonder what’s going to happen
I’d like to try on all kinds of things, but it’s going to get harder to enjoy the shopping experience
[Poiret]
If she gets too well-known, it will be hard for real fans to buy them
[Sasa]
It’s as if you’re saying that the true fans are the better ones
[YTYT]
Don’t go out of your way to cause problems
[Mosha]
