We’ve moved locations and are now in the central district of Lestein. From where we stand, we can see the gates of the Royal Academy nearby.
Will she get scolded by the staff for doing this? I thought, but Ciel-chan had already firmly placed a generous tip into the coachman’s hand. “I’m making good use of the power and money given to me” …It seems there was no lie in that line.
She said something about getting it on the spot, so I thought she was going to a store that sold uniforms or something, but then—
“Ah, it’s Tilda. Hehe, what a good girl to show up at such a perfect time. Tilda! Hey! Come over here!”
Ciel-chan flashed a wicked smile and called out to a girl in a uniform who appeared to be a fellow academy student. The girl, called Tilda, approached with a somewhat frightened look.
“This way. Stand next to Vivia.”
“Ah, perfect. Your figure’s similar. The size must be just right too.”
“H-huh? Um, what is this about…?”
No way…, cold sweat running down my back.
“Alright, take that off.”
“Huh?”
“I need your entire school uniform set. So go back to the dorm right now, change into your regular clothes, and bring it here.”
“You’re a poor scholarship student, so you don’t have a spare dress or anything, right?”
“Huh? Wha—!?”
“I’ll give it back properly later, so it’s fine. Hurry up. Come on, hurry!”
Forced and hurried by the twins, Tilda-chan turned pale and dashed frantically deep into the school grounds. She immediately returned in her regular clothes and, looking thoroughly reluctant, handed over her school uniform.
“Make sure you give it back properly! Please!” she repeated. After leaving her there, the twins were led to a nearby apartment building.
When Shanta-chan knocked boldly on one of the doors, to her surprise, the one who answered was Viti-chan, the mute girl.
There it was—a connection! But before she could process the surprise, the twins barged straight through the open door.
“Hello, Viti. Can we borrow your room? We’ll just change and be right out.”
It was a very bossy attitude, but Viti-chan didn’t seem particularly displeased, unlike Miss Tilda. Perhaps she was used to it? She quietly stepped aside, even managing a little smile when our eyes met.
We only ever formed a party that one time, but I wonder if she remembered?
And just like that, I transformed from the female captain into a student of Lestein Royal Academy.
The circumstances were awkward, but wearing matching schoolgirl costumes with the twins was pretty exciting. The combination of the calm blue dress and red ribbon tie is so cute~.
Once we were all set, I thought we’d just walk right through the school gate… but then—
“Hey, Vivia. What are you trying to do, go right through the front?”
“You can’t because you don’t have a student ID. This way.”
With Ciel-chan pulling my hand, we arrived at a small grove behind the deserted grounds.
Deep within the trees stood an unnaturally dented and warped copper door. It was part of the iron fence separating the academy from the outside world.
“It takes a little trick to open it.” Muttering to herself, Shanta-chan rattled the door, lifting it as if trying to heave it up. Eventually, it creaked open slowly.
…Um.
A nagging doubt, or perhaps a premonition, stirs within me.
But I try to push it aside, forcing myself to focus on enjoying the event before me. But…
“Fati, you’re just in time. Go get the key to the second library.”
“You’re the librarian, right? It’s quiet and cool in there—perfect for a break.”
Siel & Shanta-chan, who have no qualms about ordering the librarian boy around with a flick of her chin and using a place that’s probably off-limits to others for their own private enjoyment.
“Oh, Albe. Don’t forget about the math assignment due the day after tomorrow.”
“Submit it to us first, okay?”
Ciel and Shanta-chan, with their sly, innocent smiles, leave the work to others.
When Miss Rylstein unexpectedly appears, they turn tail and run at the speed of light.
“Ciel? Shanta? You two commute from the house, what are you doing here on a school holiday? Ah, wait a moment. You there—you’re not an academy student, are you? I recognize you… You were Take-kun’s friend, weren’t you…? Hey, I said wait! You two, if you don’t start behaving better, you’ll end up falling from grace!? I’m saying this because I care about you…!”
“We-we-we have no idea what you’re talking about!”
“As expected of the top student in our year, your words overflow with intellect—we commoners simply can’t comprehend them~”
My hunch turned into conviction.
Ciel and Shanta… are they the villainesses’ roles?!

I was looking at the logs when something caught my eye. What’s up with the carpenter’s Miracle skill being time-limited instead of cumulative?
[Itachi]
Furniture and buildings can’t be equipped, even if you get a skill from Miracle, it doesn’t seem to become “learnable”.
Instead, it’s “time-limited,” meaning you can use the corresponding skill for some time.
Again, I’ve never actually seen it myself, so I don’t know the details.
[Wee]
The advantage of timed skills is that they don’t limit the skill grant to just the owner.
Plus, with things like buildings, the number of people who can be granted the skill increases, so you can let all party members use that skill for a set time.
[Behind the Shadow]
Our clan home has a time-limited horse watch! (smug)
[Bourbon]
Don’t need it…
[Milan]
That’s a shitty skill guaranteed to give you 3D motion sickness.
[Panfesta]
If we’re talking famous spots, maybe Shirahae’s Watawata Shop?
They only give Vigilance to the first four people daily, so they always line up before midnight.
[Major Sergeant Ororo]
Huh, it just gets applied indiscriminately?
That’s awkward from the owner’s perspective.
[Mercury]
No, with buildings, you can choose beforehand where to place the so-called “skill space,” so it’s fine if you don’t set it to the shop area.
YT probably purposely set it to the shop area, partly for advertising.
[msky]
If carpentry items get time-limited skills, might other production items besides special equipment also get those miracle skills?
Weavers’ too?
[Saya Fukase]
They do.
As long as it’s not a secondary industry like textiles.

It can’t be helped since it’s not a crafting job, but gardeners don’t have that either, right?
[New]
If you want to categorise gardening in this flow, it’s in the same group as gathering.
[Itachi]
Medicine has the same time limit as carpentry, and cooking grants skills to MOBs, right?
[Marin]
Huh
When information like this surfaces, it shows that every profession has its own national treasures, no matter what.
[Letima]
Aren’t they? Are they?
[KUDOU-S1]

No way.
We confirmed someone with skills, by chance, through a temporary experiment.
Whether it’s possible to maintain a constant supply of that afterwards is a completely different story.
[((Bomu))]
YTYT the carpenter, Haruna and Boutique the tailors, and Bisuko the blacksmith.
Those are the national treasures I know.
