Currently, I’m exploring the cave I fell into.
“Nyaa—! (Heloooo!)”
Nyaa, nyaa, nyaa….
My meow is echoing.
This cave was deeper than I expected.
After an hour of exploration, I finally reached the end of the cave.
In the far corner of the room, there was a stone statue the size of a human being.
It was a statue of a woman in monastic dress.
This statue must be the goddess Hardis.
I put the stone statue away in the [Four-dimensional Space] and decided to make a U-turn to go home.
◇ ◇ ◇ ◇
“Grawwrh! (Hmm, perhaps it is a statue of Hades, the Underworld King!)”
After dinner, I asked if he had any idea about the stone statues, and Flamberge replied.
“Nyaa (Hades?)”
“Grawwr! (The king of the afterlife.)”
“Nyaa (Isn’t it a goddess?)”
“Bastet-sama, please write and speak so I can understand you.”
I pull out my typewriter.
[Isn’t Hardis a goddess?]
“Graarw! (According to my [Appraisal], Hardis is an Underworld King.
Ordinary people would recognize her as a goddess through [Appraisal Disguise] or [Appraisal Obstruction].)”
Well, it doesn’t matter whether Hardis-san is a goddess or the Underworld King.
[So, what do you think these stone statues were made for?]
“Maybe an old believer made it up on a whim.”
“Grawwrh! (Sounds about right.)”
However, it bears a striking resemblance to the person in question.
I wiped the stone statue with a cloth.
Then, for some reason, I felt as though I were losing my consciousness.
“Bastet-sama?!”
“Graawwr! (Wonder Cat?! What in the world is going on?)”
My vision darkened as I heard two concerned voices.
◇ ◇ ◇ ◇
The floor radiates a faint white light.
A space where it goes endlessly.
“It’s been a while. ”
“Nyaa (You are…)”
“Yes. I am Goddess Hardis.”
Whether she was a goddess or the Underworld King, I don’t know, but the black-haired woman, Hardis, was dressed in what looked like a monastic garb and posed as if she were praying.
