Guard Percy POV
After finishing my guard duty today, I went home after an evening training session with my friends.
My elderly grandmother is at home.
My parents have already passed away.
“Percy, welcome home.”
“I’m home, baa-chan.”
Now I live with my grandmother.
She doesn’t walk much because of her foot condition.
…Hmm?
“Baa-chan, what happened to your leg?”
“Oh, somehow my leg seems to have gotten better.”
How could that be?
It is as if she had a [Greater Heal] applied and is improving.
That kind of treatment would have cost 200 gold coins.
“I found a letter at the house entrance, yes?”
“A letter?”
I get the letter or whatever it is from my grandmother.
…….
What is this?
Inside the letter was information about an alchemist woman, Nico-sama.
Nico-sama is a woman whom I secretly admire.
But still, this letter with so much information about Nico-sama is very creepy.
Putting the letter away in my pocket, I thought to myself,
The writer of this letter knows that I have feelings for Nico-sama.
And they know too much information about Nico-sama.
There is only one conclusion that can be drawn from these two points.
Nico-sama is a victim of stalking.
And the fact that they delivered this to my house must mean they think I’m in the way.
They probably sent the letter to me with a creepy sense of superiority that they know so much about Nico-sama.
It is absolutely repulsive!
Nico-sama is an excellent alchemist protected by the government.
There is no possibility that this is the work of a spy.
If that were the case, they wouldn’t have done such a foolish thing as exposing their identity.
I will report about the letter to the king tomorrow.
I would also ask him to provide a guard for Nico-sama then.
Later that day, I was assigned to be Nico-sama’s bodyguard.
I wondered why me, but it was all right.
If I find anyone suspicious, I will catch them and turn them in to the military police.
