Day 59: Woman’s Straw Hat Set (Part 3)

Now, the final step in making a kimono is creating the obi.

When you select a single piece of fabric for an obi, the computer automatically converts it when you activate the [Sewing] skill. However, I decided to sew the obi myself to add some originality.

Because I have a sewing machine now, making minor adjustments like this is very easy. Using a sewing machine also improves the quality, so there’s no reason not to use it.

Don’t tell the purists who say, “Kimono making must be sewn by hand!”

The fabric I chose was yellowish-brown cotton. I made one sash from this fabric and another slightly narrower sash from purple fabric, which I sewed on top of the first one.

And then I added a long navy blue braided cord, the same one I used for the hat.

This braided cord is longer than the obi, and I tied it in bow knots at regular intervals along the excess length. It looks adorable when it sways with the decorative cord on the hat.

At first, I planned to prepare tabi socks, but now it might be better to make them myself.

But I went overboard with the details other than the feet. Adding decorative elements to the tabi socks might be too much.

Bare feet would look better with this outfit, where the undergarment is shorts.

I’ll think about tabi socks next time I design another Japanese clothing.

Now, the kimono is complete. Time to put those sewing skills to use!

Hmm, Kimchi-made cloth is the best.

I’ve been checking this person’s shop every day lately, and it’s become a habit of mine to immediately buy the first item registered when a new product comes out. That’s why I have this stable skill-based production. Cough.

Also, Kimchi-san usually lists items around 8:00 to 8:30 PM, which coincides with when I log in. So I have a significant advantage in the battle for the best items.

…Wait, that sounds a little stalkerish.

Nah! Some people come early and wait in line before the store opens during sales. It’s the same thing, yeah, the same.

Performance-wise, it’s not too bad.

When you equip this item, the player themselves are granted the wind attribute status for as long as they wear it.

More specifically, not only is resistance to wood attribute damage, which is their speciality, strengthened, but there are also effects such as enhanced corrections when using wind attribute tools, weapons, and skills, as well as when moving in wind attribute fields.

Other attributes, such as affinity and opposing attributes, and speculations about their effects also exist. But that doesn’t seem definite, so people like me who enjoy the game don’t need to worry about it.

However, the effect of granting attributes is specialised, for better or worse, so it’s not an item that can be used anywhere. That’s because the weakness attribute effect is also reflected.

Wind attributes are weak against dark attributes, so dark damage hurts, and using dark attribute tools and skills or being in a dark field makes you weaker.

Using it in the right situation is powerful. And with the set bonus of +250 agility, the Kimono is pretty strong for beginners to intermediate players.

The “Obi” that should be included in the kimono is a separate item, probably because I made it myself.

However, the [Learnable Skill: Deco Pin Smash]? To be honest, I don’t like this one…

The first impression of this skill is that it seems super powerful, but usually the probability is extremely low. Also, it won’t work on bosses.

This kind of thing has never been helpful in any other game I’ve played.

And I hate being poked in the forehead. Ugh, it brings back bad memories from elementary school.

At that age, we tend to innocently and simplistically designate a flick on the forehead as a punishment game, but isn’t that violence? Violence is unacceptable.

Since there is a “build-up” with a flick, I think it is pretty cruel and brutal.

The sheer terror of having a circle formed by a thumb and index finger thrust in front of your face…. The longer time passes, the more energy accumulates in the index finger, and the few seconds spent waiting while imagining the power and pain that will be released from it transcend the boundaries of time and become eternity… yes, eternal hell….

Oh no, I was about to fall into darkness, trapped by my trauma.

I keep saying this, but ultimately, the client’s request is related to design. This may not matter to the actual users.

However, it’s still nice to have interesting features.

These smartphone cases are great!
They’re stylish without being too otaku-ish, and the designs capture the characters’ personalities. Very good!
