Nell POV
Yotsuba was watching Mama and doing something when she collapsed!
“Cough, cough!”
“Mama! Yotsuba passed out!”
“Haa… haa… Nell, get the doctor…”
Mama looks like she’s in pain.
I thought it might be a cold, but it must be serious.
Nico’s out with soldier-san, and Neko-san isn’t here either.
I have to stay strong!
I put Yotsuba to bed.
She’s sleeping soundly, so she should be okay.
The problem is Mama.
“Nancy! I got some good vegetables!
I’ll share some with you… Hey, what’s wrong?”
“Bakery obasan! Listen…”
When I told her about Mama, she said she’d get the doctor and ran off.
She called out to acquaintances on the street, and soon neighbors came to the inn.
“Nancy-san! This is serious! We’ll carry her to bed!”
“The doctor?!”
“They said someone’s going to get him now.”
The neighbors are tending to her.
What can I do…

Tomita (Cat) POV
Four-dimensional Space means having four coordinate axes.
The three axes X, Y, and Z represent space, while the imaginary axis √-1 represents time.
That’s my interpretation, anyway.
It’s probably wrong from a physics standpoint, but I don’t care.
Now, let’s remember the characteristics of [Four-dimensional Space].
Time stops for anything placed inside it.
This means the object’s speed along the imaginary axis is reduced to zero.
Then, an experiment: what happens if you put animals or monsters in there?
Would their movement stop inside?
After experimenting with three grasshoppers, I found that moving them within the Four-dimensional Space makes them prickle.
Their HP also decreased slightly.
I took out the grasshoppers and asked about the conditions inside.
They can move normally.
Next, I used alchemy to craft an hourglass, set it up, and entered the Four-dimensional Space myself.
It was pitch black inside, and I tried using [Light]—it seemed to work.
I came out after about a minute, but the sand in the hourglass hadn’t fallen.
That means time outside stops while I’m inside.
This is quite an interesting experimental result.
Next, how about experimenting to see how HP decreases and by how much?
Huh? An intruder in the forest?
An 8-year-old girl?
After checking, it was Nell.
Does she need something from me?
I put myself into my [Four-dimensional Space], then opened the [Four-dimensional Space] at the forest entrance, within my skill’s range.
That’s the four-dimensional warp thing.
I appeared in front of Nell.
“Nyaa (What’s up?)”
“Neko-san! Help my Mama!”
Nancy-san?
My [Heal] should activate automatically if my HP gets critical.
It hasn’t activated yet, so it’s fine.
Well, whatever. Let’s go.
After putting Nell and me into the [Four-dimensional Space], I opened the [Four-dimensional Space] in front of the inn.
Hmm, Four-dimensional Warp sure is handy.
Nell and I entered the inn.
