Day 39: Serenity Hill (4)

To change my mood toward the high skills, I’ll quickly move on to the next topic—business.

Today’s lineup is entirely different from last time. There are many materials I’ve never seen before, but these three items especially caught my attention.

[Paper Knife Kaleidoscope]
???

I wanted a sewing machine and had already decided to buy one immediately. The retro design with the foot pedal mechanism is also very good.

The price is 200,000 Kima. Whether it is cheap or expensive is a mystery to me, but it is a small price to pay.

The tailor’s big needle is not a production tool but falls under the category of ‘Wearing.’ That means it’s a self-defense tool for expeditions.

The needle looks like a sewing needle enlarged to the size of a sword, and a thread—or string in terms of thickness—runs through the hole. The string is wrapped around the waist, and the tip of the needle is kept in a sheath for carrying.

It has skills that can be learned, and the fact that it is tailor-specific equipment is what attracts me the most. I’ve been using [Copper Knife] for protection, but I will take this opportunity to switch it out.

The last item is a kaleidoscope, which caught my eye simply because it is the most expensive: 508,000 Kima.

The description just says “???” so I have no idea what it is used for. If I remember correctly, you must have the [Appraisal] skill to find out.

But considering the last time I bought Magdalene-san’s product, the rather expensive [Royal Library Entry Permit], it triggered the revolutionary event. This could also be a key item.

Since I don’t know when I’ll be able to meet Magdalene-san again, and the product lineup changes every time I see her, I decided to buy this one, too.

By the time I finished shopping for other interesting material items, I had spent more than 2 million.

But it doesn’t hurt at all. Thanks to the Miracle Creation business, it’s become easier financially, and I can’t say I feel guilty about it.

This is probably because the balance between my game progress and income is becoming out of sync with what the management originally intended….

Well, there’s nothing better than being able to spend a little more. Hopefully, I will have a chance to make a big purchase somewhere.

Once I had taken care of all my business with Magdalene-san, I remembered something.

Speaking of Magdalene, it is a revolutionary event. Speaking of revolutionary events, it’s Giltoa.

Speaking of Giltoa—I believe I have a title called [Giltoa’s Acquintances].

Some titles have effects just by possessing them, while others may change the NPCs’ reactions or trigger events by using one of them.

Giltoa-san seems to be an important person for Magdalene-san, and there might be a chance something might happen.

Then, after setting the title and talking to her again—

“What? Giltoa is looking for me?”

Huh, a new response. However, Magdalene-san doesn’t seem to know who Giltoa is. She keeps mumbling the name and tilting her head.

“Giltoa… Giltoa… Gil..to…”

Then, she suddenly groaned and stumbled to her feet. Before I could reach out to her quickly, she cowered in place, clutching her head.

She looks in a lot of pain.

Are you okay?”

“My head is… in pain… ugh….”

What should I do in a situation like this? There is no such thing as an abnormal condition as a headache,’ but is there anything that can help me…?

While I was scanning through my inventory, Magdalene-san stood up again. Although I couldn’t tell her complexion because she wore a mask, she wasn’t in pain.

“Whew. Sorry for scaring you. I’ve been getting migraines lately. They always go away instantly, so there’s nothing to worry about.”

There was a glass-shattering sound effect a moment after she said that.

“…What we were talking about?”

—Then the same options appeared as in the beginning. Hmm, nothing unusual has happened?

Magdalene-san seems to be an important person for Giltoa-san, but she doesn’t even remember Giltoa-san.

She gets a headache when she tries to remember, an ominous sign common in video games and anime. I wonder what happened in their past.

Well, this is where I will end my conversation with Magdalene-san.

At the end of the [Serenity Hill] was a save point called Memory Door. So, I will end my play here for today.
