Day 29: Date (3)

“I’m so sorryyyyy!”

“Please stop that awful dogeza motion.”

A fox girl in Japanese clothing kicked Yagio’s butt, which had fallen flat in front of me.

I was not caught up with the situation yet, so I took another step backward. Aaaaah.

The location is my workshop, where Ciel-chan sits comfortably in her chair, paying little attention to the strange visitor.

The story about why I allowed this groveling stalker to enter my home goes back about ten minutes. When I asked my sister if I should report Yagio-san to the management, she said no.

“Please please please don’t report it to the management.”

“Eh, why?! Earlier you said to report it…”

“That person is a member of my party.”

“Ha…”

Haaaaaaaa?!

My sister rushed to the scene, and I had no choice but to deactivate the semi-active mode. Here we are.

Thus, the fox girl who kicked Goat-san was my unsociable younger sister. Even if it is just a game, the fact that she is a relative makes me feel nervous and uneasy.

By the way, Goat-san’s username is “Zoebel,” and my sister Rika goes by the name “Lingling” here.

“But I had no idea that Vivia-san was Rika’s sister~”

Wait, you’re telling them your real name? If you get to know each other well enough, even on the Internet, you can at least tell…? Ummm… culture shock.

Then, Rika or Lingling seemed to have noticed my confusion.

She added, “Oh, he’s a real acquaintance.”

“We’re college classmates.”

“I see. Um… boyfriend?”

“No!”

Wow, she looked so disgusted…. But I’m kind of relieved.

They have an air of casual friendliness, so I suspected there might be something to it. While I was enjoying playing in the privacy of my room, my sister was playing with people and having a VR date with her boyfriend. There should be no such disparity in the world, right?

The relief was short-lived, however, when Zoebel dropped the bomb.

“Haha, no, it’s not. Her boyfriend is another party member. You know him? His name is Kudou.”

“Don’t say unnecessary things.”

Yeah, I will disown you. From this moment on, you are not my family. There was no way a girl who was so social could have had the same genes as me.

“Well, anyway, he is just a passionate Ciel otaku, and he had no intention to do any harm. Please forgive him.”

“I’m sorry! I just lost myself in the excitement!”

“Zoe was suspected of being a cheater a while ago, which caused quite a stir. The timing couldn’t be worse. This weirdo has a pretty important position in the party. Please don’t report him.”

“Please!”

They both bowed their heads together.

I rushed to tell them that if that was the case, I didn’t mind and that it was fine. As long as my peace is assured in the future, I don’t want to make a big deal out of it, and being pleaded with like this by my sister, even if it’s in the form of a game character, is a pretty good feeling.

Since there’s no way around it, I’ll also put the disowned case on hold. You can weep for your sister’s mercy, which is as deep as the sea.

“Thank you, Buti! I’ll bring you some tiramisu next time.”

“You are a saint! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you very much! Please take this!”

Wow, tiramisu, I’m happy~. Besides, Zoe-san has requested to send me a present.

What is it… [Earth Crystal] x10?! What? It’s a paid item! I’m sure these cost 1.000 yen each, so… 10.000 yen!

“This is all I have on hand. I’m sorry, I was in a hurry!”

“No, no, no, this is a little much. In the end, there’s no harm and I’m fine.”

Zoe was adamant and would not budge despite my refusal, so I accepted his offer. Now that I know there is no danger, I want to continue the date event immediately.

While I’m having this conversation, my honeymoon with Ciel is steadily getting shorter and shorter. To be honest, I wanted them to go home.

But I can’t say that.

“Ling-san, she looks like she wants us to go home now that she knows what’s going on.”

Ugh, it seems Zoebel had noticed… In response, my sister nodded and groaned in annoyance.

“Okay, I get it. I understand. There is a time limit on dates. And we are taking away that precious time. However, I hate to say this, but I think it’s going to be harder to enjoy the date event properly now that it has become like this.”

What do you mean? In contrast to my tilting my head, Zoe-san looked at me understandingly. I could have enjoyed the date without any problems if you, the most significant nuisance, were gone, which was my intention from the beginning.

“Given Buti’s personality and the fact that you were n semi-active mode, you didn’t want to stand out in the game, did you? The reason you’re going on a date this early in the morning is because you wanted to sneak off and play in a quiet place where you won’t be seen, right?”

“Yeah, well…”

That is when I realized a frightening possibility. Zoebel was manipulating his multi-tablet to show me what he was doing.

No, no, no, I don’t want to see it!

“Accept the reality, onee-san!”

“You have no right to call me onee-san! I’m going to have lunch with Queen Ciel-chan at a fancy restaurant, climb the clock tower to gaze at the sky, and have a picnic at the botanical garden!”

“What a super romantic date course! Count me in!”

“Don’t complicate things. Come on, come back from your fantasy.”

Ling-chan thrusts the screen of the multi-tablet before my reluctant eyes. What is shown on the screen is the Talk Room.

Predictably, there was an amusing commotion about me pulling the Queen Ciel-sama’s hand vs. Zoebel’s chase, with images and videos mixed in.

“The social networking sites are getting lively, too,” Zoebel said, his fingers dancing in the air.

“There seems to be a lot of people who heard about the commotion and came to log in. Lestein is now crowded to the point of being unbelievably busy for an early Saturday morning.”

“The Kimakura. crowd love festivals. Look at this video posted by Minasigo. It already has over 1,000 views.”

“I see. Looks like our escape chase was caught on Dam-san’s live broadcast. From then on, it was spreading.”

“Uwaaaaaaah.”

I don’t understand much about what they are saying, but I can guess what they are trying to say.

What comes to mind is the scene at last week’s Take & Ryl’s date event. Many onlookers gathered in the plaza to see the two, and it was not a place where one could quietly admire one’s favorite characters.

Takenaka even called it a “triumphant return,” and he seemed to enjoy the attention, but if I were to ask him if that was true for me, the answer would be a resounding no.

Still, because of this strange farce with Zoe, it was almost impossible for me to spend time alone with Ciel-chan outside.

Huhu… even though I had prepared for this day by studying the most beautiful spots in Lestina.

Queen Ciel-chan looking out over the city from the light-filled tower window, egoistic Ciel-chan throwing a party surrounded by lots of food and sweets, looking bored, brooding Ciel-chan standing with a downcast face in a rose arch…

Oh, all of them are all far away dreams…

As I was despairing, Zoebel-san’s face tightened, and he stepped forward.

“Since that’s the case, I’ll take care of it, as an apology. Although it won’t be the date course as planned, I can arrange something close to it.”

Is it my imagination? A glowing light seems to be shimmering in his sleepy eyes.

“What are you going to do?” Ling-chan asked, to which Zoe-san answered reassuringly,

“I’m going to rent a private studio.”
