Elves in Exile POV
A long-eared race came across the desert further west from the Franbel Forest.
They were a group of elves who had escaped the new demon king’s army.
Dozens of them were walking slowly.
“Are we not arrived at Sylph-sama’s place yet?”
“Calm down, we’ll be there by sundown.
Look, there is the forest.”
Near the forest, the desert was planted with plant seedlings by Aurene and Tomita.
“The tree planting trails… were done by Aurene-san?”
“Of course.
Those familiar with plants are the only ones who can use [Sprout], so if others can use it besides elves, I’d like to meet them.”
The group crossed the desert and entered the forest.

The following day, I was lounging at home, relaxing by the fire in the kamado, when the information entered my head.

There are times when, because of my title, I get information in my head about people, animals, and other things that have entered the forest.

I try not to get information about people who frequent the forest or those I don’t care about.
Thus, I hadn’t been very aware of it lately.
Some dozens of people, someone or a humanoid, have entered the forest.

[Dozens of Elves have entered the forest.
Do you have any idea?], I write.
“Bastet, we should assume that on that scale, they probably escaped in a group.”
Sylph baa-san replies on Aurene’s behalf.
[Escape?] I write.
“The new Demon Lord’s army has probably attacked the Elves’ village.
The elves have several powerful magical beasts at their disposal.
They probably planned to kill them to gain experience.”
[Experience?] I write.
“Ah, a hero from long ago once said.
By accumulating them, the soul levels up and becomes stronger.
It is said that it can be obtained by killing someone strong.”
This is kind of like a game.
Several hours later, a group of elves came to our doorstep.
They seem to know Sylph baa-san and Aurene; at least, they don’t seem hostile to us.
