The following day, I’m going to visit the inn in the town.
「Oh—! Neko-san—! Welcome—!! 」
Nell greeted me when I knocked on the door.
「Oh, welcome back, Neko-san. 」
Nancy-san is smiling at the back.
She seemed to be busy talking to the adults.
「Mama is busy with work; you can play in your room. 」
「Okay! Neko-san, follow me— 」
Following Nell’s lead I entered the room.
「—And the wife. The basilisk is a giant white snake… 」
◇ ◇ ◇ ◇
「Today I’m going to read this book— 」
「Meow. 」
Is she able to read another book?
She’s a bright kid.
「How to make rye bread, the ingredients are wheat, water… 」
Oh, it’s a cooking recipe!
She read aloud to me on how to make rye bread until Nancy-san finished her works.
Because of her, I could tell you how to make rye bread without looking at the recipe.
I got soup at dinner time.
When it was time to sleep, the three of us went to bed together.
Ah, the bed is so comfy.
Should I try making a hay bed next time?
Good night.
Thanks for the new chapter!
…
That’s the whole chapter?
Are they getting shorter? XD it went from 1 minute to read to 30 seconds. Anywho why isn’t he mad that the god ruined his life and forced him into living as an actual cat. I would murder the other hero’s and refuse to kill demon king to spite the gods who cursed him with the body of a cat.
Well, even the longer chapters are still short-ish, but yeah, this one feels extra short. Maybe the author is like a cat, writing a bit, then going to take a nap.
About the second part of your comment, this isn’t that kind of dark story. It’s about a cat, strong as a dragon, smarter than most beings, and with plenty life experience as a scientist.
[I’m following Nell lead and] -> {Following Nell’s lead I}
[And the wife. The] -> {And/Also madam, the}
[When it’s time to] -> {When it was time to}
Thanks for the chapter! Awesome translation! God bless you!
